Chinese restaurants in the United States range from steam-table lunch counters to white-tablecloth Cantonese seafood halls, and most fall somewhere in between: a laminated menu, a lunch special board, and combo plates priced a few dollars below the dinner menu. Ordering by number off the menu is normal and speeds things up, especially at takeout counters. Family-style ordering, where a table shares several dishes with rice rather than each person getting an individual entree, is standard at sit-down spots and usually cheaper per person. Many neighborhood restaurants are cash-preferred or charge a small card fee, so it is worth asking or checking the door before you order. Delivery apps cover most areas, but calling the restaurant directly is often faster and avoids the markup.

The business lists hours on 6 days of the week. On most of those days it is open 11:30 am–8:30 pm. It is closed on Monday. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. You can reach ChiMaMa's Noodle House at (718) 631-8881; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions.

On Google it holds a rating of 4.3 out of 5 from 397 reviews, which is a strong result for a taiwanese restaurant in Bayside and suggests consistent service.

Bayside is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Bayside follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Authentic Taiwanese restaurant. R8 was good and filling. Good amount of fried chicken on it and it was very tasty. Also a good amount of vegetables. However, not a fan of the R1 as it wasn’t flavorful and was slightly sweet. Also not much meat on it, mostly just rice.

I’ve been here few times, and every single visit has been consistently amazing. They’re worth for a 5 ⭐️ The food is always delicious, the environment is warm and comfortable, and the owners are incredibly friendly and easy to talk to. They make you feel welcomed the moment you walk in. My favorite is definitely the stinky tofu — crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, with such a rich and flavorful taste. Absolutely addictive! The staff is also very patient and helpful when ordering, which makes the whole experience even better. Definitely one of my favorite comfort spots, and I’ll keep coming back!

Fast, casual, and delicious taiwanese spot. Got the beef noodle soup, fried chicken and pork rice bowl, and popcorn chicken. The beef in the noodle soup was extremely tender, noodles were perfectly chewy, and broth very rich and hearty. The fried chicken bowl was super filling. Loaded with pork, veggies, and topped with a chicken thigh. Chicken was slightly overcooked. The popcorn was tender but needed more five spice and salt.

We stopped in for a quick lunch. The restaurant isn’t very large, but it feels comfortable, clean, and surprisingly spacious. I’ve been wanting to try the beef noodle soup for a while, and it did not disappoint. It’s a bit on the pricey side, but the broth was rich and flavorful, the portion was generous with large chunks of tender meat, and the noodles were cooked perfectly. I also asked for extra pickled vegetables on the side, and they were very generous with it. My mom ordered the Xue Cai Rou Si Mian. I didn’t try it myself, but she seemed perfectly happy with it and had no complaints. I’m definitely looking forward to coming back and trying more items on the menu. Updated review: The beef noodle soup was so good that I ended up bringing the whole family back. This time we ordered three beef noodle soups, the chicken cutlet over rice, and the stewed beef flank over rice. I also have to amend something from my previous review: I mentioned that the prices felt a little high, but I later realized this is a no-tip establishment, which actually makes the pricing very reasonable. On top of that, the girl who took our order was incredibly patient and polite, answering all of our quest

Order about $50 of Taiwan beef noodle, stinky tofu, pig blood cake and cucumber. The beef noodle is good which has a heavy star anise flavor. But what bad is the meat; it's cooked well and will fall apart when bite on it. The meat is bad is that it's all meat. There's no beef shank with half meat and half tendon/ligament. Therefore their meat will be dry. I ate Noodle Lab in Whitestone, their meat is good but soup flavor is not there. The pig blood cake, where's the sauce? Should add some Taichung famous sauce 東泉hot sauce. Stinky tofu is good with the pickle cabbage but wish it was a bit more stinker. The cucumber was a bit better than average. I did order their ground pork rice before, it was plain.
